Nadav Featured on The Directory of Contemporary Musical Theater Writers
You know how people moan about the current state of original musical theater? Well, some people are resourceful enough to do something about it. David Sisco, a musical theater writer, and a lovely chap altogether, has dedicated six months to compiling an important resource: The Directory Of Contemporary Musical Theater Writers. He has collected more than 300 largely unpublished songs from many composers and lyricists working today, and crafted a professional presentation of it all to showcase at NATS Conference (National Association of Teachers of Singing). The goal of the directory is to expose voice teachers and their students to new writing, and promote up and coming talent. David really has made the directory a labor of love, and it shows.
Five of my songs are included in the directory. Four songs from “The Femme Fatale Show“, as well as “Please, Belize” which was written as part of the BMI Workshop’s assignment to write a comedy song based on “Angels in America”. “Please, Belize” was chosen to be featured as one of the directory’s 25 best songs!
The Richer The Better
The Last Lullaby (Delilah’s song)
Salome Starts To Dance
So Much To Explore (Eve’s Song)
