Broadway Charity Songs Concert - Feb, 24th, 2014

"Broadway Charity Songs" is a wonderful initiative by "Broadway Gives Back" which aims to raise money for important causes through new musical theater songs.

Each composer-lyricist is matched with a charity, and writes a song inspired by the charity's work.

All the songs will be performed in concert on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 7:00 PM, at Le Poisson Rouge.

I was matched with a wonderful charity orgnaziation - The Fresh Air Fund. Each summer The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, provides thousands of New York City children with unforgettable summer experiences that unlock their limitless potential. Inner city kids get to experience the great American outdoors, through summer camps and host communities that take kids for a few weeks of fun in the country.

Inspired by the Fund's great activity I wrote a sweet song called "Things I Discovered".

The song will be premiered at the "Broadway Charity Songs", performed by the wonderful Anthony Pierini who, at 11, is a seasoned pro with two Broadway shows to his name (Mary Poppins, Big Fish), and more to come, no doubt. And he is rocking the song!
