Lincoln Center NYPL honoring The Ziegfeld Club - Oct 21, 2014
I'm exctied to debut an original song in this special event honoring 'The Ziegfeld Club', which will take place in Lincoln Center's Library of the Performing Arts, on Oct 21, 2014.
The Ziegfeld Club Inc. was founded in 1936 by Florenz Ziegfeld’s widow, Billie Burke (Glinda in The Wizard of Oz), to help women in need who had once performed in the illustrious Ziegfeld Follies. One of the oldest non-profits in the Broadway community, the Club’s archive contains a wealth of material that chronicles the role and sacrifices of women in the history of New York Theater. Join our evening of true stories from the Follies, songs, and intimate viewings of original costumes, and other previously unseen artifacts from The Ziegfeld Club Inc. archive. Presented in collaboration with Past Made Present.
This program takes place in the Library for the Performing Arts' Cafe, on the first floor, plaza level. Enter via the Cafe entrance by ascending the stairs at the corner of Amsterdam Ave. and West 65th St. Mobility imparied people may enter via 111 Amsterdam Ave.
